Downtown Rochester Events -The Planned & Unplanned

October 13, 2016 - Rochester, MN

Session Description: 

The Rochester Downtown Alliance is the planner, producer and promoter of some of largest community events.  These include Thursday's on First & 3rd, SocialICE and many more.  Hear from Executive Director, Jenna Bowman and Community Engagement Manager, Laura Engelman about what it takes to make them a success. Jenna and Laura will also share some key learnings about what happens with things don't go quite as planned.

About the Speakers:

Laura Engelman
Laura Engelman joined the Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) team in January 2015, as the Community Engagement Manager.  In this role she is responsible for the planning and execution of RDA events including community favorites such as Thursdays on First & 3rdand SocialICE.  Previous to the RDA, Laura worked at the University of Memphis in TN, in Student Leadership and Involvement.  Laura is an alumna of St. Cloud State University where she earned a B.S. in Marketing and of North Dakota State University where she received her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership.

Jenna Bowman

Jenna Bowman has served as the RDA Executive Director since May of 2014. Prior to this role, she was with the Grand Avenue Business Association as the Program & Advocacy Manager.  Jenna played a key role in the planning and execution of Grand Old Day - the largest one-day festival in the Midwest.  She received her B.A. in Sociology for St. Catherine University.

Dress Code:

The PMI La Crosse - Rochester Chapter does not have a policy for dress code and trusts its attendees to dress appropriately.  Business casual dress is certainly acceptable attire at events and workshops. 

Please Note: Due to the costs associated with catering events and workshops and to allow for quicker registration at the door, please allow us to ask for payment in advance while registering for the event.
