Grand Rounds: A Study of Mood Disorders in The Phantom of the Opera

Join us for a special Grand Rounds event, presenting Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of the Opera as a fictional case study of mood disorders.

The hour-long presentation will identify and discuss five scenes from the musical, each of which will be presented as (1) a first-person account from Ms. Julia Udine in character as Christine Daaé and (2) a third-person perspective through the lens of a psychiatrist, Anthony Tobia, MD. Ms. Udine will be accompanied on piano by Shawen M. Ilaria, MD, chief resident, psychiatry.

Note: Parking for this event is available for a nominal charge at the Paterson Street Deck, located at 124 Paterson Street, New Brunswick (directly across from the medical school's Clinical Academic Building). Additional information about fees and directions can be found on the New Brunswick Parking Authority's parking locator page online here.
