Load Development and
Basic Sizing for Builders

This seminar will cover the basics of gravity loads required for designing a building and how they travel throughout the structure. We will review code requirements and some construction techniques needed to support these loads.
Participants will learn how to size simple joists and beams using the tables in the literature.
There will also be a demonstration of the Forte sizing software.
Light refreshments will be served.
