Feast of the Seven Fishes

In 2016, we decided we not only wanted to celebrate our birthday, but also this time of year, being that it is all about moments cherished and spent with family. And so, on December 9th, 2016, as a dual celebration, we will be hosting the traditional Italian Christmas event: the Feast of Seven Fishes!

There is so much heritage associated with this dinner that has been adopted into American-Italian families for generations. Originally, it is a Christmas Eve feast--particularly known as La Vigilia, or The Vigil, in the South--celebrating the night before most families end their long fast of red meat.

Expect to be with us all evening as we will be serving a total of 9 courses. Seven savory seafood courses (think halibut to mussels and everything in between) will be followed by a little something to cleanse your palate and a delicious dessert. Each delectable course will be pulling inspiration from every region of Italy and will also be paired with wines!

If you're worried about possibly needing to wear sweatpants, don't be. We're making sure the portion sizes are enough so you leave with stars in your eyes and warmth in your belly, but not needing to have an Alka Seltzer ready. In order to do this, we'll be individually plating some of the courses and plating others family-style.

Not only all of this, but that evening we will be giving away some door prizes as a way of thanking you, our guests!
