Faith and Mental Health
Faith can have a protective effect but can also be a deterrent for people seeking help. Stigma still exists in our churches. If we don’t cast a vision…people will perish! We must balance the Spiritual, psychological and medical support that our congregations need.
You will hear about one church’s journey to achieve the adoption of a Mental Health/Suicide Prevention Ministry.
Our special guest presenter will be:
Marti Vogt
Marti is a 36 year veteran of mental health and suicide prevention advocacy. Marti is a pioneer in the work with Faith and Mental Health. She is on staff at Perimeter Church, a past Chair of the Georgia Suicide Prevention Coalition, Chair of The Faith and Mental Wellness Coalition, a member of the Gwinnett Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Johns Creek Mental Wellness Task Force.
Please join us on October 21, 10am to 12pm at The Link Counseling Center to hear how Faith and Health can come together to SAVE LIVES!
There is no cost to attend this event, but registration is required.
