Meet The Developmental Disabilities Administration's Advocacy Supports Team on 12/5/16 by Webinar

The DDA is sponsoring a webinar facilitated by Edward Willard, Director of Advocacy Supports on December 5, 2016.  We welcome all stakeholders especially family members as he shares the history and the reason DDA built in the Advocacy Supports Team and the importance this has for people receiving services.

 As a participant, you will:
  • Understand the rationale of this team and why they set out to work only with people in service.
  • Learn about the upcoming "Information Sessions" and the intent to give information directly to people who receive services, in a way they understand.
The Advocacy Supports Unit says, "We want to have an environment where people in services are comfortable to speak freely with other people in services.  The intent IS NOT to exclude family members, or any other interested person that wants to attend our sessions".

You will hear from each Regional Advocacy Specialist as they introduce themselves and speak about their area of expertise.

There will also be time to ask questions!
