Teaching Through Practice - This is a blended Learning Training

TIPS for Child Care Institute, Inc. seeks to foster the development of our adult learners throughout their entire education. Our teaching community is made up of a group of talented and creative professionals, who are passionate about creating the best Vocational School in the early child care industry . TIPS for Child Care Institute, Inc. offers the tools and support necessary for our students to reach their full potential. Instructional Designers for this course are combined trainers certified through Model Programs as Parent Educators, HIPPY and Parents as Teachers on Research and evidence based programming utilizing CSEFEL as a responsiveness model. Individuals utilizing this design will be in a mixed instructional webinars and then broken into courses to meet their specific criteria.

Early Childhood Field Experience (or Early Childhood Elective Credit) 

(3 credits, lower division level) 
This course provides the student with practical experience in environments for young children, birth to age five. The experience affords the student the opportunity to become familiar with and demonstrate the principles and practices of early childhood. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.



Introduction to Working With Young Children (3 credits, lower division level)
This course exposes students to competencies required in the implementation of sound environments for young children, birth to age five. The course introduces content in the following areas: planning a safe and healthy learning environment, supporting development in physical, cognitive, language and social/ emotional areas; developing relationships with-in families; program management; professionalism; observation and recording information about children; and the principles of child development and learning. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.

Home Visitation CDA Support Program

Enrolling in this course will provide your teachers with our hands-on, innovative class for students of every background. Our qualified and experienced teachers serve as facilitators of the learning process. Instead of simply lecturing, they guide students by helping to make sense of course materials, encouraging them to ask questions and explore solutions, and promoting the use of resources outside of the classroom.
