Re-Membering Practice Intensive, January 2017
Dates: January 27 & 28, 2017; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Instructor: Stephen Gaddis, Ph.D.

This two-day course is for students who have already taken an introductory training in Narrative Therapy and wish to further develop their understanding of Re-Membering and associated practice skills. Narrative therapists assist in the co-development of alternative and preferred stories for people that diminish the influence of problems in their lives and relationships. Re-Membering is a practice that helps thicken preferred stories. Re-Membering engages clients in conversations about the people in their lives who they would like to have in their preferred club of life, and those to whom they wish to relinquish rights to that club. Developing a preferred club of life involves linking lives together according to shared values.

Students will be provided with reading materials on Re-Membering prior to the start of the course to help contextualize this practice within the narrative worldview. During our first day together, Re-Membering will be introduced in detail. Students will then be engaged in experiential exercises to help them deepen their personal understandings of these narrative therapy practices.

As always, our courses offer highly intimate and supportive learning environments that often produce meaningful and lasting connections. We cannot wait to stand alongside your ongoing interest and commitment to narrative therapy and social justice!

This course meets on January 27 & 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break each day.

The course is limited to 9 people. Please sign up early to guarantee your space.

Tuition: $350; $100 deposit required at registration
