SMPS Election Results After Party!
Your civil right has been exercised! Want to know how the results will impact you, your company and the industry? You're in luck!

We're getting the SMPS San Diego electorate together to learn what the presidential, congressional, state and local election outcomes mean for our community and our business. We have invited well-regarded economic forecasting experts Alan Nevin of Xpera Group and Bill Rodgers of Cumming to interpret how the will of the people will affect our region and nation in general, and profession specifically. They'll dig into the San Diego County and City measures impacting us locally, and offer a big picture perspective on what the industry at large looks like in the post-election reality. Confirmed speakers include:

Alan Nevin, Director of Economic and Market Research, Xpera Group
Alan Nevin's background is in real estate economics, lending and market analysis. Over the past 20 years he has performed more than 1,000 market strategy studies across the U.S., providing him remarkable insight into underlying trends and how they impact local and state economies. Prior to his current positions, Mr. Nevin taught for 30+ years at UCSD Extension, served a Chief Economist for the California Building Industry Association and cofounded the UCSD Economics Roundtable.

Bill Rodgers, Managing Principal, Cumming
A member of Cumming's Executive Team, Bill Rodgers has more than 20 years of estimating experience, affording him a broad knowledge of construction costs worldwide. Mr. Rodgers continuously monitors national and international economic trends and publishes Cumming's monthly Economic Report and price book. He holds a Certified Cost Consultant Certificate issued by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and is a Leed Accredited Professional.
