The 2016 TR Gala is poised to serve as the Theodore Roosevelt Council's premiere dinner & fundraising event this year! It's sure to be the best Gala to date, with our head Honoree and TR Recipient Dave Doucette, leading the charge. Join us as we dine, network, and support the Nassau County Boy Scouts and its nearly 10,000 youth participants.
Over 3,700 adult volunteers in 275 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews, and Learning for Life groups serve the youth of Nassau County. Last summer over 1,500 Boy Scouts camped at Onteora Scout Reservation in the Catskill Mountains and over 1,800 Cub Scouts had an outdoor experience at Schiff Scout Reservation, on the east end of Long Island.
The Theodore Roosevelt Council uses the Scouting program including outdoor experiences, to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
