Big Data to Benchmarking...Enjoy the Journey!
Facilities and property managers including built environment professionals need assistance when it comes to telling their story, selling their projects and associated resource requirements, and most of all, conveying the true value they bring to the organization. Becoming a high-performance organization requires consistent, accurate data; but what should you be gathering? How do you gather it and what should you do with it when you get it? Why is data needed? What data is currently available to you? Can technology assist you in answering these questions? What benchmarking resources are readily available? What KPIs are the most important to capture, which will lead you to better data-driven decision making? How can you translate all of this data into your Balanced Scorecard? This session will answer these important operational questions. Bring your questions about benchmarking and the importance of data-driven decision making.
Learning Objectives:
* Better understand how to use data in decision-making
* Utilize technology as an effective tool in data gathering and benchmarking
* How to better communicate accomplishments and future opportunities using benchmark data
* Select the right KPIs which make sense for your organization
* Connect the dots between gathering data and applying it to a Balanced Scorecard (connected to your Strategic Plan)
