Genetic Genealogy Overview at

Longmont Public Library

  • Are you ready to add DNA testing to your genealogy tool kit?
  • Are you curious about what you can learn from the different types of DNA tests?

With nearly 3 million genotyped individuals, genetic genealogy is rapidly emerging as one of the quickest ways to break decades-old brick walls and connect with cousins who are researching the same families.

  • Understand your motivations for getting started so that your actions, money and time spent align with your goals and final intended outcomes
  • Discover how DNA testing (genetic genealogy) has become a major puzzle piece to help solve family mysteries

Please register for this event on the Longmont Public Library Website, beginning September 12th https://www.longmontcolorado.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/16279/1068?curm=10&cury=2017

The course will be taught by Deena Coutant.  Deena is passionate about creating family legacies that connect the past, present and future generations, through stories, photos or by uncovering the DNA of those ancestors who were previously lost to history.
