As parents, we want our kids to dream about their futures including a career, housing, employment training, and college or trade school. With the help of parents and educational teams, students should be actively planning and preparing for their post high school futures by exploring who they are, where they are going, and how they are going to get there as early as elementary school. Join us to learn about the post secondary planning process (transition planning) as it relates to the development of the Individual Education Program (IEP) specific to "life after high school". We will also explore strategies and resources that help promote meaningful involvement and conversation between you, your child, and his/her educational team.
This workshop is specifically designed for parents and individuals supporting students with special education needs ages 12 and older.
