About Verde Community Farm & Market
Verde Community Farm & Market is a USDA Organic certified not-for-profit farm operated by Carrfour Supportive Housing as a part of the Verde Gardens Community located in Homestead, Florida. Their produce is available at various markets around town and on the plates of some of favorite local restaurants, as well as at their farmers market on Saturdays during the growing season.
The dollars spent at the Verde Community Farm & Market go towards hiring and training at-risk community members who work at the farm and market and to building the infrastructure to support this program, with special consideration for the residents of Carrfour Supportive Housing's Verde Gardens community.
