Press Releases That Produce Results:
Media Management Tips & Skills
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Writing a good press release is part marketing, part technical writing skill (not as difficult as it sounds),and part knowing the peccadilloes of our local media outlets. Chelle will guide you through writing a solid press release and sending calendar listings for print, radio, TV and online calendars. Even old hands may gain a new tip or two, and sharing your best tips is encouraged as well!
BIOGRAPHY
Chelle Lindahl was Wholesale Trade Show Coordinator and eventually VP of Sales for SunFeather Natural Soaps from 1990 to 2008, owned and managed restaurants in San Francisco during the decade prior to that, and has been in leadership positions with fifteen non-profit organizations since 1977, often as the primary media person.
Currently, she is the Chair of the Local Living Venture (.org), a local non-profit organization dedicated to sharing DIY and simple living skills for a healthy and more capable community via Resourceful Living Skills Workshops and occasional Local Living Festivals. There is not much that brings her more joy than finding that another of her many press releases has been printed verbatim and she looks forward to sharing this skill with you.
