For persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, loss is a near-constant life companion. We will examine the similarities and differences inherent in loss and grief experienced by people with and without developmental disabilities. Strategies to support healthy grieving and avoid complicated grief reactions will also be explored.

Workshop will be presented by Margaret Gilbride, JD, CT - Instructor of Pediatrics, Director of Transition, Employment, and Aging & Disability, The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities

Childcare for Spectrum360 families is offered for this event.  They are also invited to come early for a light supper which will be served from 6:30 -7:00 Please notify Anne Beauchamp if you need childcare.
