Writing and Neurological Deficits with Julie Morrow, MOTR/L

Many children with neurological disorders struggle with handwriting. Join us for this workshop and you will come away with a better understanding of why it is so hard for them, how to tell the difference between dyslexia and dysgraphia, how vision impacts writing and how to help your child if they are struggling at home.

Julie Morrow, MOTR/L

Julie Morrow earned her Bachelor of General Studies degree in Human Biology with a concentration in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2005 and then went on to earn her Masters in Occupational Therapy at Rockhurst University in 2008. She is currently in her 8th year of practice as a licensed occupational therapist. She has worked for local school districts at the pre-school, elementary, middle school and high school levels, with a caseload consisting of students in general education and in center based classrooms with a wide range of disabilities.

In 2008, Julie was part of a group research project that was selected to present their research at the AOTA National Conference titled: "An Investigation of the Relationship Between Listening and Clinical Reasoning in a Problem-Based Learning Course". She is the co-author of a book titled "Preparing for Community Based Excursions: A Therapeutic Approach to Integrated Learning for Children" and founder of the company, Developmental Possibilities, LLC.
