"At the Fork" Film Screening

Filmmaker and omnivore John Papola, together with his vegetarian wife, Lisa, offer up a timely and refreshingly unbiased look at how farm animals are raised for consumption.  With unprecedented access to large-scale conventional farms, Papola asks the tough questions behind every hambuger, glass of milk, and baby-back rib while recognizing that farmers of all kinds are people, too. Both a personal and a universal story, At the Fork opens a meaningful, nuanced conversation on the business of farming animals for consumption.

Join us after the award-winning film for a panel discussion with Cliff McConville (co-owner of All Grass Farms, a diversified farm providing the Chicago-area with organic pasture-raised meat and dairy products) and Marc Ayers (Illinois State Director of the Humane Society of the U.S., which is sponsoring the showing of this film).
