Dr. Derrell Elkins graduated from Auburn University in 1970. He owned a four veterinarian AAHA hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky for 10 years. In 1982 he completed a surgical residency and Masters Degree at Texas A & M University. From 1986-1991 he was on faculty at Louisiana State University where he taught Orthopedic Surgery.
Sandra Brackenridge has been practicing Clinical Social Work since 1983 in various settings. As Coordinator of Counseling Services LSU School of Veterinary Medicine 1990-1994, she developed an internship in Social Work, a pet loss counseling program, an animal-assisted therapy program, and a counseling service for veterinary students.
Dr. Mike Paul is a 1972 graduate of Kansas State University, has forty years of experience in companion animal practice (30 of which have been spent in California), organized veterinary medicine, and not-for-profit organization leadership as well as corporate veterinary medicine.
