Great Start Parent Coalition Meeting - January 10, 2017

Safe Kids Oakland/Winter Safety, Speaker: Melissa Shimshock

From protecting little fingers, toes and noses to providing appropriate winter activities for little ones, learn new ways for keeping your family safe and warm during the winter season.

Special Guest Nancy Hampton of Healthy Foods, Healthy Families will review healthy food alternatives

We will be offering FREE quality child care (6 weeks through 12 years of age, please) and dinner to the families that attend.

Please note: Child care for the parent coalition meetings will open no earlier than 5:45pm and has a capacity of 25 children. First come (registered) first served.

If you are looking for ways to increase your knowledge of resources and services that could benefit children and families or if you would like to network with other parents and parent groups in Oakland County, you should join us.

Great Start Parent Coalition meetings include:

• Parent networking and relationship building

• Increase parent knowledge - learn new skills and strategies

• Build social connections - meet parents and community members

• Learn about resources available to Oakland County parents and children, and

• Build parent leadership skills!

We fill our meetings with teaching experiences, issues to think about, child and
parent-friendly door prizes, child care and meals.
