Empowerhouse Empty Bowl

Please join us on January 29, 2017 at our annual Empty Bowl event to benefit Empowerhouse and their efforts to end domestic violence in our community.  Tickets are available for $60 per person. By attending one of our events and/or making a tax-deductible donation, you can make a huge difference in the lives of survivors and their families.

• $35 can pay for one night of shelter and services for a woman or a child to stay in the Haven shelter.
• $50 can pay for one night of shelter and services for a mother and a child to stay at the Haven shelter.
• $100 can go to prevention: to educate one class at area middle or high schools with a presentation on teen dating violence.
• $150 can allow one woman to access the 24-hour hotline and go on to complete a cycle of support groups to aid in the recovery from domestic violence (3 months or longer).
• $150 can pay for a child to attend the weekly Forgotten Victims educational support group (3 months or longer).
• $350 can support one victim through the civil and/or criminal court system (the duration of this process may be months and sometimes years).
• $500 can pay for a family of 3, mom, her teenager and child to complete educational support groups that help them achieve hope and freedom from domestic violence.
• $1,000 can pay for a survivor of domestic violence to be safely sheltered and to obtain a protective order to return to home.
• $1,500 can pay for shelter and advocacy to support one family obtain safety during their shelter stay and move toward independence.
