Practitioners in professional liability, particularly legal and medical malpractice, can benefit from understanding the Colorado Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. CPDMP data can be utilized in evaluating, questioning, or defending clients and witnesses. The program will be led by three experts on the CPDMP who will cover the following topics and more:

  • What is the CPDMP;
  • Who has access;
  • How does delegated access to staff members work;
  • Statistics on opioid epidemic in Colorado, and how CPDMP combats improper use;
  • How CPDMP works in conjunction with Colorado’s multi-disciplinary Opioid Policy;
  • How DORA uses CPDMP; and
  • “Push Notifications” to providers when a patient rises above “threshold” levels of opioid/schedule II prescriptions.
