OAC NATCEP and TTT Program Updates for 2017 Seminar

Don't be left in the dark! Join Janet Kennedy, RN, NATCEP Coordinator, The Ohio Department of Health and other knowledgeable speakers to ensure you are ready for the 2017 updates! 

The Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) regulating Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Programs (NATCEP) and Train the Trainer (TTT) Programs in Ohio is currently under review, with important updates coming in 2017. Some of the changes to the OAC will affect the Skills and Written State Test process, qualifications of program personnel and the approved curriculum. 

This educational session will provide the most up to date information and allow for a Q&A to make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed.

This offering has been approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing for 4 Contact hours of continuing education, of which 1.0 contact hour is in Category A, through the OBN Approver Unit located at the Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Ohio, Inc. (OBN-002-92). Approval for this Program expires January 26, 2019.

Objectives:

  • Identify updates and changes in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) in relation to the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) and Train the Trainer (TTT) in Ohio
  • Implement current OAC rules and changes into existing NATCEP and TTT Programs.
  • Recognize instructional material and techniques that can be used in the NATCEP.
  • Describe the impact of test scores on training programs and ways to prepare trainees for the Written and Skills State Test.
  • Explain the administrative Nurse’s responsibility regarding RN and LPN licensure verification.
