Evening Prayer for the Commonwealth 

Virginia's Catholic bishops and the Virginia Catholic Conference invite legislators and other public officials of all faiths, clergy, educators, social service practitioners, parishioners and others to join them at the historic Cathedral of the Sacred Heart to pray for the Commonwealth. Please join Bishop Michael Burbidge from Arlington and Bishop Francis DiLorenzo from Richmond at 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, for Vespers, a prayer of thanksgiving used by the Church for millennia to praise God and pray for the needs of the world. A complimentary wine and appetizers reception follows. Free shuttle service is available at the Virginia Capitol Visitors' entrance at 10th and Bank streets. $10 parking is available at parking garage, corner of North Laurel & West Main streets, adjacent to Altria Teatre. Less expensive parking is available in the West Cary Street and West Broad Street parking decks. On-the-street parking may also be available.
