Great Start Parent Coalition Meeting - February 2, 2017

This month's topics:

Bullying and Beyond, Speaker: Julie McDaniel, PhD

Join us for a conversation around the prevalence and warning signs of bullying and the resources available to prevent bullying. Leave with practical tips and strategies for intervention when bullying does occur.

Hands On Car Seat Safety - Speaker: Lew Moquin, Certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor. Lewis is available to our parents to experience "hands-on" car seat safety and child transportation.

We will be offering FREE quality child care (6 weeks through 12 years of age, please) and dinner to the families that attend.

Please note: Child care for the parent coalition meetings will open no earlier than 5:45pm and has a capacity of 25 children. First come (registered) first served.

If you are looking for ways to increase your knowledge of resources and services that could benefit children and families or if you would like to network with other parents and parent groups in Oakland County, you should join us.

Great Start Parent Coalition meetings include:

• Learn about resources available to Oakland County parents and children, and

• Build parent leadership skills!

We fill our meetings with teaching experiences, issues to think about, child and
parent-friendly door prizes, child care and meals.
