PRSA Hoosier Chapter Luncheon - Ethical Dangers of Public Relations Research
The foundation for any successful public relations initiative is research. But what happens when someone in your organization pressures you to promote a campaign or other project that you know your research doesn't substantiate? Or, how do you and your organization ensure the research findings aren't accidentally misinterpreted? What are the risks to your organization's reputation when claims supported by research and amplified by PR are misleading or just-plain wrong - whether done intentionally or not?
Speaker: Jeffrey W. Marr, Vice President of Consulting for Walker
Marr provides thought leadership to Walker and the customer strategy profession. In keeping with the newest proven approaches, Marr designs services used in client engagements. This includes facilitating customer-driven action by clients at the corporate, functional and account team levels, and creating new measurement solutions. Formal approaches Jeff helped create and launch include value mapping, account engagement, strategic assessment, won/lost bid assessment, and assessing lost/diminished customers.
