Panelists: 

Jason Daughtry, EA, NTPI Fellow - Jason H. Daughtry is an Enrolled Agent and owner of Affirmative Financial Group LLC located in Mays Landing, NJ. Mr. Daughtry has been in the field of taxation since 1998 and an Enrolled Agent since 2012. His experience involves income tax preparation and tax planning for individuals and businesses but focuses his practice primarily on representing taxpayer’s before the IRS and state taxing authorities. Mr. Daughtry is a National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) Fellow as well as a financial advisor and New Jersey licensed life insurance provider.

George Rodriguez, EA, NTPI Fellow - George V. Rodriguez is the owner of NBS TAX LLC and Newark Business Services, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns. He is a Fellow of the prestigious National Tax Practice Institute and a director of the New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents where he is a member of both the Education Committee and Mentoring Committee.  George is also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and National Society of Accountants.

Ed Ryan, EARyan Financial is a tax and accounting practice and financial services firm focusing on individuals and small business owners with locations in Rutherford and Union, NJ, and Middleton, NY.

Ryan Financial offers financial services through HD Vest. Ed has been an HD Vest Chapter Director since 2001. He is also a Field Trainer and mentor to new advisors. Since 2010, Ed has been recognized as a top 75 advisor at HD Vest. He is also experienced with company accounting operations, private placements and purchases and sales of business entities.

Leonard Steinberg, EA, NTPI Fellow - Leonard Steinberg, principal of Steinberg Enterprises, LLC, is a federally licensed Enrolled Agent, NTPI Fellow and Certified Management Consultant.

As an Enrolled Agent, Leonard's tax practice is nationally based. Leonard and his team work diligently to analyze, prepare, and file tax returns for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals.

Leonard has an MBA in International Business and Finance and advanced degrees in Accounting and Financial Planning. He is a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board Small Business Advisory Committee. Leonard is a frequent instructor and lecturer on topics including tax, nonprofit management, accounting and bookkeeping.

David Tolleth, EA, NTPI Fellow, PhD -David Tolleth is a financial advisor, tax accountant, and an Enrolled Agent. He currently serves as President of the New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents.

Since 2006 David has pursued a financial services career, taking advantage of his business management expertise and long- time passion to help people more successfully manage their businesses and personal finances. He now prepares tax returns, represents clients before the IRS, and provides financial services for hundreds of individual and business clients each year. 

Mary Sunderland, EA, USTCP, CFP, CFA - Mary Sunderland is an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. She is licensed to prepare individual, business and trust tax returns and represents clients before all IRS administrative levels for audits, collections, and appeals. Mary is also admitted to practice at the United States Tax Court. She is a Director of New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents. In 2014, she became a Fellow of NAEA’s National Tax Practice Institute, having completed a rigorous three-year curriculum in advanced IRS representation. In April 2015, she became a US Tax Court Practitioner having passed the nonattorney US Tax Court Exam. Mary also volunteers at the US Tax Court calendar call. Mary also does pro bono tax representation through Taxpayers Assistance Corporation, the public service division of Agostino & Associates and pro bono tax preparation through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
