Join us for the 26th annual Utah Geographic Information Council conference in Park City, UT!  From seasoned GIS professionals to new and upcoming students, this conference will provide an opportunity to grow your GIS knowledge base and expand your networking reach. Geospatial experts will hold workshops and presentations that are guaranteed to elevate individual GIS cognition in our rapidly changing field. The event  is packed full of great presentations, workshops, vendors and opportunities to advance your GIS skills and learn from other GIS Professionals.

The event will be held at the Park City Marriott! Located just a few minutes from historic downtown Park City this is one of the most scenic and popular locations in Utah. With plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and viewing scenic vistas, Park City makes for a spectacular UGIC destination!

Lodging Information:

Lodging is open now - We have secured rooms at the Park City Marriott at the rate of $118 plus tax for the conference. To reserve your rooms please contact the hotel directly:

Reservation Method:  Individual call-in 1-435-649-2900 or click here for online reservations.  Individuals are encouraged to identify themselves as part of the group block (UGIC) to receive the discounted rate. The rate is good until 4/16/2017, so please make your reservations before that date in order to receive the conference rate. 

Meals at the Conference:

Pre-Conference Training Meals: Breakfast (Hotel guests only), lunch, and breaks are included in the pre-conference training prices for full-day workshops.

Conference Meals:  Breakfast (Hotel guests only), lunch, and breaks (morning/afternoon) are included Wednesday through Friday. In addition, there will be a vendor social on Wednesday evening with appetizers / finger -food and a city walking tour (with food included) on Thursday evening. Both evening events are optional but are included with registration.

Student Scholarships: 

Every year, UGIC awards 2 scholarships for students in Utah to attend the annual conference. All current students are eligible to apply, so if you are a student we encourage you to submit an application! More information can be found here.

Getting to the Park City Marriott: 

To Park City from the Salt Lake Valley and Points North:
From I-15, take exit 304 for Cheyenne/Interstate 80 Eastbound. Go east on I-80 for 20 miles, and take exit 146 for US-40/189 toward Heber/Vernal.  Drive southeast on US-40/189 for 3 miles, and take exit 4 toward Park City/Kamas.  Turn right onto UT-248 W / Kearns Blvd. After 2 miles, turn left onto Comstock drive, then right onto Sidewinder Dr.

To Park City from Utah County and Points South:
From I-15 Northbound, take Provo exit 263, University Avenue. Follow University Avenue north through Provo Canyon 29 miles to Heber City. Turn left on US-40/189. Drive 13 miles through Heber City, and take exit 4 toward Park City/Kamas. Turn left onto UT-248 W / Kearns Blvd. After 2 miles, turn left onto Comstock drive, then right onto Sidewinder Dr.

To Park City from Points East:
From westbound I-80, take exit 146 for US-40/189 toward Heber/Vernal.  Drive southeast on US-40/189 for 3 miles, and take exit 4 toward Park City/Kamas.  Turn right onto UT-248 W / Kearns Blvd. After 2 miles, turn left onto Comstock drive, then right onto Sidewinder Dr.
