Description: This course will outline numerous details in the ever-growing field of dry eye disease. A practical, clinician’s approach will cover the numerous tests available for dry eye detection and monitoring as well as discuss their pros and cons. The many treatments including prescription medications, lifestyle changes inclusive of nutrition, and in office procedures including LipiFlow will be detailed. Glaucoma Treatments-Exploring All Options

Description: Once the diagnosis of glaucoma has been made, the course of action needs to be the utmost effective. This course details possible thought processes by briefly reviewing the major glaucoma studies. The majority of the course explains the mechanism of improved IOP with medications, laser procedures and glaucoma surgeries. Prescribing the medications and co-managing of these procedures will be stressed.

Description: Photodocumentation of interesting patients was performed with an eyePhone. The diagnoses can be made by careful "external" observation of the patient. Each disease is also detailed in terms of diagnostic pearls and treatment options. The lecturer’s favorite apps for optometrists to use clinically and personally are also outlined.

The Clinical Use of Ophthalmic Point-of-Care Diagnostic Lab Tests
