The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble is the oldest continuously performing chamber ensemble in Philadelphia and the only chamber group in residence in Society Hill, with all current or retired Philadelphia Orchestra members and guests performing:
Concerto in D Major, RV. 93 for guitar, violin, viola, cello and guitar by Antonio Vivaldi
Suite from the Victorian Kitchen Garden for clarinet and harp by Paul Reade
Oblivion arranged by Allen Krantz for flute, cellor and guitar by Astor Piazzola
Histoire du Tango, Cafe 1930 for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzola
Bordel 1900 for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzola
Septet in Eb Major, Op.20 for violin, cello, bass, clarinet, basson and horn by Ludwig van Beethoven
Included is a reception following the concert with refreshments and opportunity to chat with the performers.
