State of the Union: Type Expression in America Today

 Presented By

John Beebe,  M.D. (ENTP preferences)

Members:  Free • Visitors:  $35
NOTE:  Members may bring first-time guests at no charge

Beebe

Dr. John Beebe has been a psychiatrist and Jungian analyst for 38 years. He has written about psychological types for numerous books and journals. John's eight-function, eight-archetype model of type is widely studied and applied in the field. In addition, he has spearheaded a Jungian typological approach to the analysis of film.

Join us to hear how we can use psychological type to identify and analyze changes in our culture.

Participants will take away from this session:

  • How do we recognize the eight types of consciousness?  What are the hallmarks of each?
  • How can we see these types of consciousness being expressed in American culture and politics?
  • Experience how we are impacted by unconscious; type-specific complexes in the culture
  • Learn to identify when unconscious, poorly differentiated types of consciousness have gained ascendancy in an individual or culture.

This presentation is geared to Advanced learners.

John Beebe, M.D. is a world-renowned author and lecturer in the field of typology. He is the author of Integrity in Depth and Energies and Patterns in Psychological Type: The Reservoir of Consciousness.  He is a past president of the C.G. Jung Institute of SF and co-editor of The Question of Psychological Types: The Correspondence of C.G. Jung and Hans Schmid-Guisan, 1915-1916. He received the President’s Award for Exceptional Service from the Association for Psychological Type International.
