MEDICAL DIRECTORS AND DIRECTORS OF NURSING FORUM
Venue: Victoria House, Fulbourn, Cambridge
Date: Thursday 2nd February 2017
Hosted by the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub.
About the Forum
Trusts in the East of England spend millions of pounds on agency staff per annum and it is vital this spending is brought under control.
The East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub is currently implementing a regional strategy for addressing agency spend in the region. This comprehensive strategy has already gained significant momentum and we are seeing a steady reduction in spend and an increase in commercial compliance, forcing the market to adhere to the NHS Improvement (NHSI) regulations which have been mandated across the NHS. However, there is still much to do in this area to ensure safe staffing levels across the NHS are maintained in a highly challenging environment.
Following a regional NHSI conference reasserting the importance of all clinical directorates in Trusts following the governance and process outlined by NHSI, the East of England NHS Procurement Hub will be hosting a Medical Directors and Directors of Nursing Forum specifically for the East of England Trusts.
We would like to invite all Medical Directors and Directors of Nursing in the region to attend in order to discuss local agency staffing strategies and issues around patient safety in this context, provide examples of best practice and consider how collaboratively the region can act together to influence the market to enforce the changes needed. To register to attend, please click the button below.
During the Forum, the Medical Director and Director of Nursing from Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital will be presenting on how they have successfully addressed the challenges they face in temporary clinical workforce management.
