For 95 years, members have relied on OPMCA to safeguard their interests and ensure continued prosperity for Ohio’s petroleum and convenience industry. The association's advocacy on issues from business taxation and underground storage tank regulations, to fuel requirements and rules relating to tobacco and liquor sales, is critical in today's rapidly-changing regulatory environment.

In 2017, the public policy climate is expected to be more unpredicatble than ever. On the legislative front, an all-new Ohio General Assembly will move swiftly to develop a two-year state operating budget and to tackle the monumental task of funding Ohio’s transportation infrastructure. Both budget bills will affect taxes, and will have long-lasting implications for small businesses operating in the state. At the same time, regulatory issues will heat up as the Ohio State Fire Marshal rolls out an extensive overhaul of the Ohio Fire Code, and the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations unveils massive revisions to its current UST rules.

With so much at stake, it’s imperative you have a seat at the table and an ally you can count on to navigate the ins-and-outs of Ohio’s complex political and regulatory arena. That’s why we’re here. OPMCA members stand united and, collectively, we wield immense influence in the halls of the Statehouse and throughout the state’s many regulatory agencies.

Your membership investment ensures the association remains poised to turn on a dime, and ready to respond swiftly to the new rules, new players and transitions in influence that shape the business environment in Ohio.
