Starting a business remains very challenging to many aspiring entrepreneurs. In this workshop, participants will learn simple yet proven and tested steps for starting a new business.
At the end of this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to meet SCORE certified mentors who are readily available to provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL mentoring.

Presented by: Lalitha Raman, PhD. CPA., certified SCORE mentor and Vice President of Education Services for the Houston SCORE Chapter.Lalitha has a Ph.D from Michigan State University in Biophysics with over 15 years research experience. She has numerous papers to her credits. She changed careers and received M.S in Accounting from University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 20+ years in Accounting. She has worked for the City of Houston for 26 years in various departments of Health, Parks and Public Works and Engineering and was in charge of Revenues, Budget, Information systems and fixed assets. She was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston teaching Accounting and has been honored by the Business Women of Houston, Federation of Professional Women.
