The Betsy Travel Bag with Kristi McDonough

Kristi McDonough of Schnitzel & Boo is some kinda crazy.  Crazy talented that is.  And she's bringing all that mess of hers to The Green Apricot to demonstrate how to make the Betsy Travel Bag.  This bag is perfect- sturdy enough to hold all your junk, but soft enough to squish down, roll up and put away.  I get so tired of trying to find a place to store big empty bags.

And between you and I, this bag scares me to death.  Except Kristi has taught me several skills, even over the phone, and I know I can do this with her direction.  And if I can do it, I know you can!  Zippers, gussets and hardware- she will take you through each step.  I'm a quilter, so I'm not even sure what a gusset is, but I can't wait to learn!

The pattern is available at Craftsy, and I strongly recommend that you purchase and read over the pattern as soon as you register.  In order to be as productive as possible the day of the workshop, it is important that you have all of your materials, including all of the hardware needed, as well as doing a bit of prep work at home.  When you register you will receive an email with a supply list and instructions for preparing for the event.

Don't forget all of your goodies- machine, foot pedal, thread, and maybe a sack lunch.  (Or we can order out for lunch- no problem!)  Supply list included in the confirmation email at registration.
