Canadian Technology Accelerator

The CTA (Canadian Technology Accelerator) provides high potential Canadian technology companies with an opportunity to access the unique resources in the Rocky Mountain region to help them grow at a global scale. The program is sponsored by the Consulate General of Canada in partnership with Innosphere.

Please join us for this special event highlighting four Canadian companies. Please note the time change: The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program will now begin at 3:00PM (see agenda below). In addition to hearing quick pitches from the four companies in the CTA program, you will also have the opportunity to get an update on Innosphere’s incubation program for Colorado startups. Innosphere will explain how advisors can engage with their technology and scientific-based startups, how they work with investors, what the support package for entrepreneurs entails, and how corporate partners play a role in the innovation ecosystem.

Participating companies include:

Spectrafy  http://spectrafy.com/ - Spectrafy is an Ottawa-based company that is reinventing the measurement of sunlight and the atmosphere. There is $100M of solar and atmospheric measurement hardware sold each year that is either hugely expensive and difficult to use, or relatively crude. For customers in the solar, weather and agricultural industries, who need solar spectral and atmospheric data, SolarSIM sensors combine simple, rugged hardware and advanced software to make it easy and affordable to obtain the highest quality of solar and atmospheric data.

Hydrogen In Motion (H2M) http://www.hydrogeninmotion.com/  - Hydrogen In Motion Inc. (H2M) is a Canadian SME that has developed a ground-beaking hydrogen storage material that offers twice the range at half the cost of compressed tanks.  The H2M proprietary nano-material adsorbs and releases hydrogen at ambient conditions and at pressures under 50 bar and is the best in class in terms of volume, weight, performance and cost.

QD Solar  http://www.qdsolarinc.com/ - QD SOLAR is in the business of developing and delivering, in partnership with others, the world’s best performance, lowest cost solar photovoltaic technology, through the use of proprietary infrared-converting solar cells deployed in concert with the standard crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells in today’s solar modules / panels. QD Solar use quantum dot materials to capture the sun’s infrared energy in a much more cost effective way than any other proven material, and add the power together with high performance silicon cells in a new hybrid module, to improve the cost per watt and gross margins of PV module manufacturers.

EcoDrain   https://ecodrain.com/en/ - Ecodrain has developed a suite of next generation drain water heat recovery systems for homeowners featuring a core patented technology which boosts the rate of heat transfer allowing customers to save up to 65% of the energy used in heating water.
