BC Wheelchair Sports Association is very excited to announce the return of our Girls-Only Wheelchair Tennis Program at its new home at the Delta Town & Country Inn Tennis Club! Canadian Paralympian, Sarah Hunter, will be coaching the program and leading the girls through fun drills, activities, and match play. Registration information is below - we encourage you to sign-up and not miss out on this exciting opportunity!
What is Wheelchair Tennis?
Wheelchair Tennis is a fast-paced Paralympic sport.
Who Can Play?
Anyone can play wheelchair tennis! Individuals in a manual or electric wheelchairs with a physical disability can participate. You do not need to be able to grip a racquet, as the racquet can be secured to your hand. Some players simply tape the racquet to their hand, while others have specifically designed grips.
Wheelchair Tennis Rules:
The sport of wheelchair tennis follows the same rules as able-bodied tennis with the only exception being that wheelchair tennis players are allowed two bounces of the ball.

Who: Females 11-18 years
Where: Delta Town & Country Inn Tennis Club - 6005 Hwy 17A, Delta BC V4K 5B8
When: Fridays evenings – 6:00 - 8:00 pm – select dates (please see below for details).

Cost: $50.00 for 11 sessions - $5.00 per drop-in session
Equipment: Sports chairs will be provided if needed. Please check off if you will need to borrow a sports chair in the online registration form.
