Special Education Due Process Record Review: Eligibility adn IEP

Speaker: Marti Ginter

Target Audience: ARC Chairpersons, Directors of special education, Special Education Teachers

Description: Participants will become familiar with compliance documentation of an Eligibility and Annual Review ARC by reviewing a due process special education file using the 2016-17 KDE Special Education Record Review document released in November 2016.  Participants are expected to bring two (2) special education due process folders from their school to the training to conduct the record review.  One folder should be from a recent eligibility ARC meeting, the other should be a recent annual review ARC.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
