Mussar Practice Retreat

Our Mussar Practice Retreat this year will give students of Mussar a chance to integrate their studies into their lives, guided by very experienced and senior Mussar leaders. We will spend three days together, learning and experiencing classic Mussar spiritual practices such as chanting, journaling, meditation, and kabbalot (practical tangible ways that we use Mussar in our day to day lives) to sharpen our Mussar perspectives. Each participant will be able to have one-on-one time with a faculty member as well as participate in a Mussar va’ad (a small group designed to support our Mussar practices). You will choose middot (traits) that you want to focus on during the retreat, and you will deepen your work on these middot using the different spiritual practices. There will be whole group learning, and you will have a lot of individual ‘down-time’ to reflect, walk, pray, or sleep, too.

Everyone interested in Mussar is welcome, whether beginner or advanced.
