Sally Melville has published several knitting books (including THE KNIT STITCH, a best-selling learn-to-knit book that has sold 350,000 copies and has been translated into French and Russian) and taught four Craftsy classes—one of which has over 14,000 students from around the world. She has travelled extensively to teach her craft—speaking to wonderful folk who can appreciate the perfect buttonhole, who love the textures and colors and techniques of knitting, who want to be more intuitive about their craft, and who know that life is about learning.
It’s time to take your knitting to the next level, with five powerhouse workshops led by the inspiring Sally Melville. Plus, you’ll enjoy yarn shopping, delicious meals and the comforts of the historic Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Michigan.
We’ll begin Sunday afternoon with a sparkling wine/cider welcome, followed by a talk from Sally to get us all in the mindset for focusing on our knitting and its importance in our lives: Why Do We Do What We Do?
Monday, Sally will lead us in Essential Skills and Knit to Flatter & Fit, and Tuesday will include Borders & Buttonholes and an instructive trunk show to get you on the road to making your own garments that you will wear and love.
We’ll say our goodbyes at breakfast on Wednesday. You’ll leave a more confident knitter, heading into “knitting season” armed with new skills and ready to tackle new challenges.
If you’ve attended our retreats before, three things for you to note: this year’s gathering will be shorter, more intensive, and not project-based. Oh, and there will be homework to complete prior to arrival. So that’s four things..
Don't wait - this is an intentionally small retreat, so we expect it to fill quickly.
