Parking
Limited parking is available on the surface lot at The Health Museum. The entrance is off Hermann Drive. Street parking is also available. Parking fees may apply.

Kid Zone (Ages 5+)
Bring your children and let us take care of them while you relax and network. Kid Zone activities include kid-friendly food, entertainment and educational activities. There is no charge for this service! Children younger than age 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

To show our appreciation, we are hosting our annual New Member and Young Physician Reception on Tuesday August 1, from 6-8:30 p.m., at The John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science (The Health Museum). You and your family are invited to attend this one of a kind event which includes:

 Free, one hour ethics CME: "TMB Rules You May Not Know - But Should"

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss TMB Rules related to: prescribing for chronic pain patients, documentation, supervision of mid-levels and other medical staff, death certificate requirements, use of the new DPS controlled substance data base;
  2. Identify practices and complaints that have led to investigations by the TMB;
  3. Explain the TMB investigative process
  • Networking to build referrals from 6 - 7:30pm
  • Free food and drinks
  • Free admission to the Health Museum and its exhibits
  • Visit with HCMS Leadership & Staff
  • Free care for your children (ages 5 and up) so that you can network and earn CME
  • An Auto Show featuring select dealers participating in the HCMS Auto Program.
Everything is free, including food, drinks, child care, CME and general admission into The Health Museum! However, parking fees may apply.

Event Schedule:

  • 6 - 7:30 PM: Enjoy alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, taste the authentic flavors of greek cuisine and connect with colleagues while your children are fed and entertained in the Kid Zone*.
  • 7:30 – 8:30 PM: Network or attend the CME course for one hour of ethics credit while your children continue enjoying their special Kid Zone activities.
  • 8:30 PM: The reception ends, and parents reunite with their children.

*Upon check-in, professional staff will take children 5 years and older to the Kid Zone for food and fun planned just for them. There is no charge for this service. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
