2017 Trend Report
Many outlets, from fashion to television and social media, contribute to what’s hot and what’s not each year in Meetings & Events. In this session you will learn how to set yourself apart as an industry leader and master the skill of translating the latest fashions into chic events and where to turn to forecast these trends year after year.
Learning Objectives:
· Discover the secrets behind identifying key influencers and to pinpoint which prints, fabrics, textures and event themes are currently trending.
· Know where to turn to identify the key color trends from season to season
· Discover how social media has changed this trend cycle and how you can use it to your advantage
Meet KATE PATAY, CPCE
Kate Patay, CPCE, is the Executive Director of Creative Coverings Specialty Linens, NACE National Vice President, SEARCH Foundation Director, SEPA Advisor and Lecturer at The International School of Hospitality in Las Vegas. She's been a recognized industry professional for nearly 20 years in many facets of special events.
In 2015 she was honored with the coveted Pacesetter Award from the Convention Industry Council (CIC) and an Esprit Award from ISES for her work in the Green Sector of Events. In 2016, she received the Event Solutions Spotlight Award for Innovation. She was an integral part of Creative Coverings receiving Emerald Green Certification in 2012, giving them the distinct honor of being the only national linen company with this coveted eco-friendly designation.
Kate has been also nominated as Nevada’s Saleswoman of the Year and Citizen of the Year in addition to being honored as not only the Most Influential Person in Northern Nevada by the Top 100 Influencers, but as the “Person to Know” by the Reno Gazette Journal, and one of the top 20 Under 40 by Special Event Magazine.
