The Art of Money: New Faith Communities, Beauty and Financial Realities 

In keeping with our Annual Conference focus on developing leaders and teams, our theme will be: "The Art of Money", led by Rev. Gary Shockley.

This year’s Annual New Faith Community Event will be an opportunity to think both theologically and pragmatically about the specific vision, mission, and ministry of your faith community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with guest speaker Gary Shockley.  Gary is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church who has served as pastor, church planter, denominational executive, ministry coach, church consultant, motivational speaker, and performing artist.  Gary shares the gospel in an innovative way that excites imagination, inspire others to action, and motivates people to grow in their Christian discipleship.

At this event, Gary will be sharing with attendees his expertise in both the arts and finance as related to ministry as he leads us in worship, prayer exercises, study, and conversation. For Friday night worship, we will be treated to a very unique "Sand Art Worship" experience that will allow us to see and hear scripture in a way we never have before. This event will be held at Casowasco Camp and Retreat Center. Please save the date, and invite your friends, colleagues and team members to come and engage BOTH their left brain and right brain! Cost will be $115 (includes meals and lodging), as well as some art supplies for each participant). Commuters will pay $45. Deadline for registration is April 14, 2017. Register early, as late fees will apply.

Each registrant will have an opportunity to "Step Up for Others" as we ask anyone willing and able to donate a special love offering amount to be used for planters or teams that may not be able to attend without assistance. Special amounts of $25, $50, $75 or $100 will be accepted.
