EMCC International webinar - Wednesday 5 July 2017 18.30 cest

Quantitative research in supervision of coaches: when do we start?

Book Now! There are a maximum of 50 places per webinar.

About the webinar

If we look at the agenda of all international supervision conferences in the east and west of Europe and count the themes, we have:

  • Methods, techniques and tools in individual supervision: 48%
  • Evolution of the market: 16%
  • Methods, techniques and tools in collective supervision: 11%
  • Non conscious mechanisms in supervision: 9%
  • Supervision of internal coaches: 6%
  • Ethics, code of conduct and moral principles: 5%
  • Research and epistemology of supervision:   5%

Clearly, the focus is not on research and the journey onward should start with an inventory of what is needed. David Clutterbuck attempted to do this during the last conference in Oxford-Brookes and this effort must be pursued. Recently we have identified a number of Ph.D. dissertations and articles that outline where we are and we’ll show and discuss the key findings.

The webinar thus will provide a general overview of the current research landscape of Supervision. Then the discussion will be turned to what we all feel is needed to make a significant progresses in research related to supervision: future directions and actionable points. Methodologies, but not only, is most certainly one of the key item to address during this discussion.
