2017 Men's Retreat  

Chief Ron Mackey is  Executive Director at Deerfoot Lodge, a long time Christian wilderness camp for boys with the mission to build godly men. Deerfoot has operated for 87 years in the Adirondack Mountains of NY, and recently purchased land in the mountains of NC to begin a second Deerfoot Lodge. Prior to the Directorship of Deerfoot Ron served as Associate Pastor at Loudonville Community Church in Loudonville, NY, for 7 years. Ron now resides near Albany, NY. He is married to Anne and father to four children.

Carpe Vitam! Rise up O Men of God - You need it. Your friends and family need it. Your school/work place needs it. The whole world needs it. They need you to live the life He called you to and for which you are equipped by the Holy Spirit. Whether you are in 9th grade or 90 years old, the call is for men of God to link arms across the generations and rise up, to 'have done with lesser things, give heart and soul and mind and strength. To serve the King of Kings' ("Rise up O Men of God", William Merrill, 1867-1954).

Pastor Nate adds that Ron will be addressing issues of what it means to grow from boyhood into manhood, and to progress in Biblical manhood, inside our current American culture. This year the Men's Retreat is welcoming high school freshmen and up!
