Parking Options: 

Discounted parking is available on the east side of 15th St, between Race & Cherry St. Take your parking ticket with you, & ask the Friends Center receptionist to stamp it for the validated parking rate of $15 for the day. There are numerous other options, including two city-owned garages also across the street, one on 15th St between Cherry and Arch and one on Cherry St between 15th and 16th Sts.

Public Transportation Options:

Any SEPTA bus route or subway route to the City Hall stop will place you within walking distance of Friends Center. Visit www.septa.org  

 

Understanding & Analyzing Systemic Racism Workshop in Philly on May 4 - 6, 2017! 

This workshop takes an in-depth look into institutional, cultural, and individual manifestations of racism. Using a variety of interactive tools, it explores the historical development of institutional racism and its continuing impact. Strategic methods of dismantling systemic racism within institutions will be introduced.

Crossroads workshops are designed to reveal how systemic racism plays a role in often unseen ways, creating barriers to true multicultural diversity and racial justice. We’ll help you struggle with the tough questions and begin to equip you with the skills to dismantle racism and transform your institution.

Workshop Schedule: 

Regisration opens at 5:30 pm on May 4, 2017

6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 4

8:30 am to 6:00 pm on Friday, May 5

8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 6

Please note that attendance is required on all 3 days of the workshop

Costs: 

Contributor: Base level cost of the workshop. For all people coming as individuals. - $425 early bird* / $450 regular

Catalyst: An incentivized registration for individuals who are attending with 2 or more people. - $375 early bird* / $400 regular

Community Builder: A subsidized registration for students & under-employed / unemployed individuals. - $175

        *Early bird pricing lasts until: Thursday April 6, 2017 at midnight

         Registration closes Thursday April 27, 2017 at midnight. 

Registration includes workshop materials, snacks on Thursday evening and continental breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday.

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • If you cancel your registration by the early bird date of Thursday April 6, 2017:  you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee. 
  • If you cancel your registration after the early bird date, Thursday April 6, 2017, and before registration closes, Thursday April 27, 2017:  you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
  • There will be no refunds after registration closes on Thursday April 27, 2017.
