This 2-day workshop begins with the basics and moves into 201-level compliance practices. Learn when and how to fill out the international documentation required for your export, and how to determine and satisfy various export compliance regulations.   • How to minimize delays in Customs by having all of the information the first time.
  • Why you should be using a Destination Control Statement on all of your invoices both domestic & international.
  • Essential due diligence and lists to check on denied parties and sanctioned countries to stay compliant
  • How to complete Free Trade Agreement Certificates of Origin, common errors, when you should/shouldn’t fill one out.
  • Review additional documents that can be used to reduce delays, eliminate demurrage and shorten your product delivery cycle.

Export Compliance 201
March 16, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

This program will help you be in compliance with a host of import/export regulations. You will know the proper standards to determine and label the origin of your item. Learn when duty free is an option, proper customs valuation, best scenerios for drop shipment, and the nuances of exporting samples, and goods under warranty and repair. You will walk away with a better understanding of relevant regulations and specific tools & instructions on how to begin building a secure and compliant department & company.  Topics covered include:

  • Determinging the Country of Origin versus Marking of Origin
  • Exporting samples, goods under warranties, repairs and replacements
