Hemp Road Trip at Lamar Community College

If you have been interested in learning about the process of farming industrial hemp, the benefits of growing and the economic marketplace for hemp, we encourage you to join us for this hemp meeting! We will be at the Lamar Community College on Saurday February 25th. There will be plenty learn, many people to chat and network with and many hemp products for sale. Speakers for this informational event will include Rick Trojan from The Hemp Road Trip, a representative from The Colorado Department of Agriculture and a farmer from the National Hemp Association. All are excited about the education on the crop and are aware of the importance of growth for the industry. Please come out and see what the hemp industry is all about!

Speakers: 

Colorado Department of Agriculture Time: 1:15-1:45 PM

A representative from Colorado Department of Agriculture, Mitch Yergbert will be availavle to talk about the program created for industrial hemp farming.He will talk on information gathered from 2016, similar to the anual "hemp in review" talk hosted by the CDA. They are very knowledgable on the process and is happy to answer any questions from interested parties.

 

 

 

Rick from The Hemp Road Trip  Time: 1:45-2:30 PM

Rick is an advocate for legalization, sustainable farming and agriculutral educatuation. Rick has driven the bio-disel hemp bus from coast to coast in order to help educate legislators and students on industrial hemp farming. Part owner in the an organic hemp farm in Colorado, he is happy to answer any questions about hemp and business you may have.

  

A farmer from The National Hemp Association - John Finamore   Time: 2:30-3 PM

John Finamore will be there to talk on his expereince growing 200 acres of industrial hemp this year. He is knowledgeable on the process and is happy to answer questions abtout the process of farming hemp. 

 

 

 

 

From 3-4 PM:

Local vendors will be in attendence to showcase finished hemp products and talk about their experince in the industry. Come learn, network and meet the speakers, vendors and other sustainbility supporters at this event.
