Save the Airfare: Lombardia

Every 2 months or so, we will be hosting an educational event focusing on the specific wine and cuisine that make each region of Italy special and unique. This is an exciting opportunity to not only taste what each region has to offer, but also learn about its rich history, and why these foods and wines prosper in these specific regions.

Executive Chef Geo Dodig and Sommelier Lee Minnucci will be working together to bring an eclectic offering of the best cuisine representative of each region, paired with the great wines that prosper there.

In February, we will be featuring the regional wine and cuisine of the northern region Lombardia!

The region of Lombardia is home to a wide array of climates and landscapes, varying from the heights of the Alps, to the valley in which Lake Garda is nestled, to its beautiful plains in the south.

Cuisine from Lombardia is noted for rich flavors; it is historically characterized by dishes which are rich in butter and cream, with a focus on meat and poultry from the local livestock raised on the plains of the region. Polenta and rice are found right alongside pasta as popular staples, and Lombardia is home to several high-quality versions of the famous cheeses of Italy.

We were thrilled to host many of you for our fantastic Seven Fishes Dinner, but in that vein, all courses of this event, except for dessert, will feature protein, and so, unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diners on this evening.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 8th, beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $90/person (including tax and gratuity) and are very limited so secure your spot ASAP! We are looking forward to this just as much as you are!

(Due to the nature of this event, we will be unable to accommodate dietary restrictions.)
