An Afternoon with Christina Baker Kline

A Friends Author Series Event

The author of Orphan Train is back with A Piece of the World.

Saturday, February 25 at 2:30 p.m.

Main Library, DiMattia Building

Join us for an afternoon with the author of the smash bestseller, Orphan Train. She'll be talking about her new book, A Piece of the World, a stunning and atmospheric novel of friendship, passion, and art, inspired by Andrew Wyeth’s mysterious and iconic painting “Christina’s World.”

As she did in Orphan Train, Christina Baker Kline interweaves fact and fiction in a powerful novel that illuminates a little-known part of America’s history.

Orphan Train has sold more than three million copies worldwide and spent more than two years on the New York Times bestseller list, including five weeks at #1. Her other novels include Bird in Hand, The Way Life Should Be, Desire Lines, and Sweet Water.

Tickets are $15 and include a wine and appetizer reception.  Desserts generously donated by  Matthew's Bakery and Sal's Pastry Shop.

Proceeds to benefit the Library.

Reception at 2:30 p.m. Program at 3 p.m.

Book sale and signing.
